These feature super comfortable soft head contact foam that allows for extended use and application without causing fatigue or discomfort. Here are some tips to help you understand the level of noises and what ear muffs can help protect against: A typical conversation occurs at 60 dB - not loud enough to cause damage. A tractor that is idling (note that this is idling, not actively in drive) is loud enough at 87 dB that it can cause permanent damage after only 2 work days (10 hours). While listening to a music system with stock earphones at a maximum volume, the sound can reach a level of over 105 dBA, loud enough to begin causing permanent damage after just 15 minutes day over day.
