The Tea Party movement is so frightening that Republicans are making every effort to bring the movement into their carefully manged fold. Witness the introduction of the very popular former Gov. of Alaska, Sarah Palin speaking at the Tea Party Convention. Note that NO mention of the Mexican invasion is mentioned by her. Also note that Palin has come to the assistance of John McCain who is running against a true, real conservative that does NOT skirt the issue of the invasion! Palin does not stop in Arizona but goes on to Texas to support Gov. Rick Perry, yet another so called conservative who blissfully will talk on both sides of the mouth about immigration and will puff up his conservative base with talks about Texas secession.

So feared is the Tea Party movement that the media talking heads like Sean Hannity have come out to help guide the movement away from "insane" issues like immigration. Witness his loving chat with Palin concerning the movement and Fox News throwing one broadside about McCain fighting the President after another. My guess is that the Obama Administration would prefer to have a McCain in power vs a real conservative and I would not hesitate to think that The Administration might help McCain in showboat arguments to that effect.

In short the Tea Party Movement should be wary of inadvertently throwing itself overboard courtesy of allowing the Republicans to seed it's virus into it.
