Get over it. This is affirmative action and yes, it is still necessary. The majority of minorities come from very low income families. Asians and Mexicans in the US are mostly first or second generation Americans that are still struggling and trying to adjust themselves into the American world.it will take many more years and generations before the majority of these racial groups start moving up in this country of racial division. Whites have been in this country forever and already have way more benefits than any other race. Yes, there are extremely low income white kids out there who could use such a generous scholarship, but I think scholarships like these are to help the people who come from an unfortunate background rather than give money to people who probably had circumstancial problems.
