Yesterday, Brent Cool (YWC’s VP) and I posted YWC flyers all around campus, hoping to attract like-minded right wingers for YWC. We are still currently small in numbers (around 7) and were hoping that our flyers would attract the few more we need for school recognition. Looking at other campuses across the nation, what strikes me about Auburn is its tranquility. It is a VERY conservative campus with an overall conservative staff. Sure, every now and then you see the scraggly hippie sporting a Che Guevara shirt, but the leftists at Auburn seem to be in hibernation. We don’t see them often, and it seems like they stick to their own. Driving down college street at night, occasionally you can see a large gathering of them at Cambridge Coffee or flooding into the obscure bars around town. Every now and again, I can smell them as I walk past they Haley center- where the Liberal Arts department is. Mostly, however, they are quiet. When conservative/right-wing speakers come to Auburn, the leftists do not act like their Ilk at UNC-chapel hill do when someone presents a “controversial” viewpoint- they simply ignore it. When the pro-life club has its “graveyard” for abortion victims, the leftists don’t harass the members and vandalize the tombstones- like I have seen on other campuses. But, when our club speaks out against Illegal Immigration, socialism, and radical multiculturalism, it apparently drives them wild.
Walking to class today, right when I entered Lowder business building, I immediately noticed that all of the YWC flyers I had posted the previous day had been torn down. Some were still on the floor. One leftist left a few choice words for me on one of my flyers, leaving it hanging. I was astounded- how a simple flyer (see picture) with a call for patriots could make these people so angry. It is apparent that the leftists don’t like our message, and seek to silence us.

It really scares me when I see so many college students embracing illegal immigration and socialism.
It’s to bad that these kids don’t learn more at home like my daughter does, she would be a proud member us YWC.
