They started slowly, infiltrating the vast Phoenix drug market with a team of all-stars, handpicked from around the nation.

The federal agents came to Phoenix prepared to take on the rising tide of drug-related violence, where armed criminals are ready to kick in doors, rob armed drug-runners and shoot anyone who gets in the way.

Their plan: Go undercover, lure in the violent crooks by soliciting them to rob drug dealers, then take them down.

In the end, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agents arrested 70 people, seized about $39,000 and took dozens of guns and other weapons off the street, authorities said Tuesday.

The arrests were only a dent in the problem, they said. What surprised them most was the number of people they found ready to join complete strangers for robbery and murder in Phoenix’s drug underworld.

“This proved what we know to be true,” said Dennis Burke, the new U.S. attorney in the District of Arizona. “When drugs and distribution of drugs are in our neighborhoods, violent armed criminals follow behind them.”

The team of about a dozen special agents came because the spike in drug-related crime was becoming evident to law enforcement months before Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon told Congress about the home-invasion crisis in the Valley. By the time Gordon was telling a congressional committee in March about the estimated 366 abductions in Phoenix last year, the ATF was already preparing to send a team of experienced undercover agents to confront the roving strong-arm robbery crews targeting drug-stash houses in the area.

Amnesty is back, and with a vengeance. This was the dominant theme I heard at this week’s annual talk-radio gabfest in Washington sponsored by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), the country’s leading anti-amnesty organization.

“As we gather here in the nation’s capital, another illegal alien amnesty bill has been introduced in the Senate,” FAIR President Dan Stein said.

It is no surprise that, after passing health care “reform,” President Obama plans to move on to his next big domestic initiative: granting citizenship to more than 12 million illegal immigrants. For decades, Beltway and business elites have championed a policy of open borders and unlimited Third World immigration. Amnesty is simply its logical culmination: the triumph of political and corporate interests over patriotism.

America has endured a massive invasion of millions of illegal immigrants. The southern border is a bleeding sore. Hospitals are overwhelmed, forced to provide free medical care to illegals. School systems must absorb the unnecessary costs of educating the illegal immigrants’ children. Welfare rolls are swelling with illegal immigrants taking advantage of public assistance. Nearly one-third of the federal prison population is composed of illegal immigrants. Mexican cartels import drugs, crime and human trafficking. Washington has lost control of the nation’s borders — and with it, our national sovereignty.

Moreover, the waves of illegal immigration represent an onslaught on America’s historic and cultural core. The great myth of our time, promoted by both the multicultural left and the neoconservative right, is that the United States is a creedal nation. They argue that the country was founded upon abstract ideas embodied in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and that it is united by its commitment to universal principles such as democracy and equality. This is a historical fraud. The Founding Fathers were neither democrats nor believers in egalitarianism. George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were slaveholders. John Adams, Alexander Hamilton and James Madison deeply distrusted democracy.

“Democracy … wastes, exhausts, and murders itself,” Adams wrote. “There is never a democracy that did not commit suicide.”

One principle that all those on the left hold is that taxes constitute more than an economic issue; they are, first and foremost, a moral one. Economists on the left may argue for higher taxes on economic grounds but they and we know that at bottom, higher taxes, especially “taxing the rich,” is what they believe morality demands.

For example, there are obviously only two possible ways to reduce government deficits: reduce spending or increase taxes (or some combination of both). The left advocates the later; the right advocates the former. Left-wing spokesmen, such as New York Times economics columnist and Princeton University professor of economics Paul Krugman, may offer economic arguments for raising taxes in order to lower government deficits, but their real motivations are moral: reducing economic inequality (by redistributing income) and expanding government (because government is the most effective way to help all citizens).

Now, as it happens, not only is there is nothing wrong with being animated by moral concerns — we should all be. The problem with the left’s advocacy of higher taxes is not that it is rooted in moral concerns. The problem — actually the two problems — are these:

First, higher taxes are rarely morally defensible. In fact, on purely moral grounds — in other words, even if they did effectively reduce the deficit without paying an economic price for doing so — they are usually not moral. More on this below.

Second, higher taxes are usually economically counterproductive. This does not matter to the left, however, because economic growth is not what most interests the left. Since Karl Marx, the left has always been far more interested in economic equality than in economic growth. It is true that liberals such as John F. Kennedy were more concerned with economic growth than with economic equality — which is why he advocated lowering taxes — but for much of the last century, unlike today, there was a major difference between liberal and left.

Now to return to the moral arguments, my difference with the left is not that I oppose morality dictating economic policy. I believe, in fact, that virtually all social policies should be rooted in moral concerns. My difference with the left is that I am convinced that moral considerations dictate lower, not higher, taxes.

American citizens outraged by President Obama and the actions of Congress have set their sights on a new target – the so-called mainstream media – with tea-party protests now set to boil in front of more than 30 press offices across the U.S.

Following a WND report on the growing popularity of “Operation: Can You Hear Us Now?” taxpayers are making plans to bring their protests to the front doors of major media outlets.

As WND reported, the “Operation: Can You Hear Us Now?” webmaster, who has chosen to remain nameless, launched his website on Sept. 15. After only one week, he is experiencing an outpouring of support from citizens interested in hosting and attending rallies.

“People are really psyched up,” he told WND today. “There are thousands of new visitors coming to the site daily.”

A Miami-based Hispanic group is mounting a national campaign against conservative CNN talk-show host Lou Dobbs, urging the network to restrain what they call “his disparaging and inaccurate” remarks about Hispanic immigrants.

Jorge Mursuli, a longtime human rights activist in South Florida who now heads Democracia U.S.A., hopes to create a grassroots movement to silence Dobbs’ unrelenting crusade against illegal immigrants.

Mursuli contends that Dobbs has blamed immigrants for a rise in leprosy in the United States, of pushing for a so-called “superhighway” of illegal immigrants from Mexico to Canada and contributing to an illegal immigrant crime wave.

“If CNN is, in fact, the most trusted name in news, we really have to ask them to hold Mr. Dobbs to journalistic standards,” said Mursuli, whose group plans to launch an anti-Dobbs website, www.EnoughisEnough!.com.

The campaign is the latest backlash against the TV anchor. Other immigration groups have gone further, demanding the network pull him off the air for his conservative anti-immigration politics. Dobbs, whose wife is Mexican-American, is one of the network’s most popular talk show hosts.

CNN spokeswoman Barbara Levin declined to comment in an e-mail to The Miami Herald. “We’ll take a pass on this,” she wrote.

But Dan Stein, president of the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), which advocates stricter U.S. immigration policies, called Lou Dobbs “one of the most respected names in American journalism.”

He said Dobbs’ critics are using rhetoric and inflammatory information in an effort to determine what ideas the public is allowed to hear.

“Organizations that try to silence public debate are enemies of freedom,” he said. “There has to be room for all voices in the public square.”

This is no joke! Tucson’s public school district (TUSD) spent the summer on an affirmative action hiring spree.

While teachers all over the state were getting pink slips. TUSD recruited minority teachers from out of state at top pay!

1. Last spring TUSD fired veteran white teachers.
2. This summer TUSD recruited non-white teachers from out of state at top pay!
3. TUSD hired the hysterical Marxist Tim Wise (the guy who says Israel’s Deputy PM is a global leader of white racism) to advise the district.
4. While funding for school libraries and the arts were cut back, more money was added to expand “Mexican American Racial Studies!”
5. Most extreme of all, affirmative action discipline.

No matter how horrible black and Latino students misbehave, schools will not be allowed to suspend them in rates disproportionate to the amount of whites suspended at the same school. GET READY FOR ALL HELL TO BREAK OUT! Either whites will have to be suspended for any minor infraction to increase their rate, or blacks and Latinos will have to commit major acts of violence just to get suspended.

Either way, this is going to be a rough year for Tucson public schools. Not to mention the unfortunate white students and teachers who are being victimized by wanton discrimination!

Let me repeat something. TUSD fired over two hundred teachers last April. Then they conducted minority only hiring over the summer at top pay. Arizona has large numbers of unemployed teachers, but in their quest to hire only minorities, TUSD recruited from out of state!

In the photo at right a 9th grader pleads for the job of her music teacher at a school board meeting in April 2009. TUSD slashed music and library programs, and fired whites. Only to add money to the “Mexican American Racial Studies” program and recruit only non-white teachers from out of state.

TUSD is entering a new extreme in anti-white discrimination.

Thousands of Bay Area homes have a ticking time bomb embedded in their mortgage. The homes were purchased with loans known as option ARMs, short for adjustable rate mortgages.

Next year, many option ARM payments will begin to readjust, slamming borrowers with dramatically higher monthly mortgage bills. Analysts say that could unleash the next big wave of foreclosures - and home-loan data show that the risky loans were heavily used in the Bay Area.

From 2004 to 2008, “one in five people who took out a mortgage loan (for both purchases and refinancing) in the San Francisco metropolitan region (San Francisco, Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin and San Mateo counties) got an option ARM,” said Bob Visini, senior director of marketing in San Francisco at First American CoreLogic, a mortgage research firm. “That’s more than twice the national average.

James Clay

Authorities who responded to the fire at James Clay’s house in Troy found a spray-painted racial slur on his car.

The 2007 fire came days after Clay, who is black, was charged with sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl.

At a sentencing hearing Monday, Judge Robert Lindeman told Clay that the community was the real victim.

The 42-year-old Clay was convicted Sept. 3 of aggravated arson. The four-year prison sentence will be added to a five-year term he is serving for sexual battery.

Hillary Clinton pal Hassan

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Hassan Nemazee, a fund-raiser for Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and other Democrats, has been indicted for defrauding Bank of America, HSBC and Citigroup Inc out of more than $290 million in loan proceeds, U.S. prosecutors said on Monday.

The announcement follows last month’s indictment of Nemazee, head of a private equity firm and an Iranian American Political Action Committee board member, on one count of defrauding Citigroup’s Citibank.

The new indictment adds allegations that he defrauded two other banks, Bank of America and HSBC Bank USA, in a similar fashion by falsifying documents and signatures to purportedly show he had hundreds of millions worth of collateral.

The office of the U.S. Attorney in Manhattan and the FBI said he used the proceeds of his scheme to make donations to election campaigns of federal, state and local candidates, donations to political action committees and charities.

He bought property in Italy and paid for maintenance on two properties in New York.
