The First Thing We Do, Let’s Abolish The Hispanics! By Steve Sailer

As Peter Brimelow and Edwin S. Rubenstein pointed out in their 1997 National Review cover story Electing a New People, the demographic changes ushered in by the 1965 Immigration Act and the simultaneous collapse of immigration controls portend major trouble for the Republican Party (if anyone cares) and, more seriously, for America.
I will be writing a number of VDARE.COM columns on this fundamental topic in coming weeks.
First, though, Republicans/ Americans need to grasp that the conventional wisdom that they must never speak out on demography—race and ethnicity—was invented by their enemies to defeat them.
John McCain, for instance, followed the Main Stream Media’s advice on these topics slavishly. How’d that work out for him?
Conversely, the decline in Barack Obama’s political fortunes over the last three months has been the result of the President’s reflexive reactions undermining David Axelrod’s carefully-constructed campaign image of him as the post-racial transcender. (I deconstructed this myth in my America’s Half-Blood Prince: Barack Obama’s “Story Of Race And Inheritance”)
Obama chose to interject race back into politics—first by his nomination of Affirmative Action beneficiary Sonia Sotomayor of Ricci case notoriety; then by his obviously heartfelt but disastrous intervention in the ludicrous Skip Gates affair, and finally by his announcement in Guadalajara of his timetable for illegal immigrant amnesty.
Obama shot himself in the foot by raising the fundamental question of all politics—Whose side are you on?—just as he was asking voters to trust him on the infinitely complex health bill.
Moral: a key for the Republicans is to get Obama, and the Democrats in general, talking about race and ethnicity at every opportunity.
Like we do at VDARE.COM!
OK, now I’ll make my first modest proposal for dealing with demographic doom:
Let’s abolish the Hispanics!
(If you don’t get it, that’s a disguised allusion to Shakespeare’s to Dick the Butcher’s famous line about lawyers in Henrv VI, part II, act IV, scene ii. Lines 84-84)
Not literally, of course. I mean the “ethnicity”. I am suggesting a fairly novel policy for halting the Hispanic ethnic political juggernaut that we hear so much about: a national campaign for Ethnic Equality.
Although we are constantly instructed in the teeth of all the evidence that race is “just a social construct”, the reality is that “Hispanic” ethnicity is certainly less of a natural inevitability. Instead, it’s just a bureaucratic construct of the Nixon Administration’s Office of Management and Budget.

Tea Party Protest in Brunswick Results in Arrest
BRUNSWICK, GA — A man has been arrested in downtown Brunswick after disrupting a Tea Party protest against the Democrats’ healthcare reform plan.
Around 20 members of the Golden Isle Tea Party Patriots and other participants were holding signs and waving at passing cars in front of the main post office.
First Coast News was there when Zack Lyde from Brunswick walked up shouting at the group and started a verbal confrontation with protesters.

Zack Lyde
When a Brunswick police officer asked Lyde to leave, he refused. As officers tried placing him under arrest, he attempted to wriggle out of their grasp.
Officers pointed tasers at Lyde until he dropped to the ground and allowed himself to be handcuffed and taken into custody.
Lyde is charged with disorderly conduct.
Fidel Castro joins MSNBC in denouncing Obama’s critics as “racists.”

President Barack Obama is trying to make positive changes in the United States, but is being fought at every turn by right-wingers who hate him because he is black, former Cuban leader Fidel Castro said on Tuesday.
In an unusually conciliatory column in the state-run media, Castro said Obama had inherited many problems from his predecessor, George W. Bush, and was trying to resolve them. But the “powerful extreme right won’t be happy with anything that diminishes their prerogatives in the slightest way.”
Obama does not want to change the U.S. political and economic system, but “in spite of that, the extreme right hates him for being African-American and fights what the president does to improve the deteriorated image of that country,” Castro wrote.
“I don’t have the slightest doubt that the racist right will do everything possible to wear him down, blocking his program to get him out of the game one way or another, at the least political cost,” he said.
Castro, who writes regular commentaries for Cuba’s state-run media, has criticized Obama, complimented him occasionally and said that he is watching him closely to see if he means what he says about changing U.S. policy toward Cuba.

Parts of Britain ‘like The Wire’
In a speech, shadow home secretary Chris Grayling argued that the UK was suffering the same culture of gangs and street violence found in the US.
He said Labour had failed to ensure law and order was preserved in the poorest parts of the country.
But Home Secretary Alan Johnson said the comparison to The Wire was “glib”.
Mr Johnson said gun-related crime was falling and the police should be supported not attacked for their efforts.
‘Breakdown’
Mr Grayling told an audience in Westminster that police were fighting an “urban war” against gangs and that violence in society had become “a norm and not an exception”.
The Wire, which is currently being shown on BBC Two, has been acclaimed for its realistic portrayal of the struggle between police and drug-dealing gangs on the streets of Baltimore in Maryland.
Mr Grayling repeated his charge that poorer communities in the UK have been let down by Labour, saying: “The Wire has become a byword for urban deprivation and societal breakdown in modern America.”
He said: “When The Wire comes to Britain’s streets, it is the poor who suffer most. It is the poor who are the ones who have borne the brunt of the surge in violence under this government.
“It is they who struggle to live their lives against a constant fear of crime.
“Far too many of those features of what we have always seen as a US phenomenon are now to be found on the streets of Britain as well.”

After Lilian Verdonkschot died, Nadine Montoya was charged with a hit-and-run. But was hate behind the wheel?

Nadine Montoya posed for a mug shot after her arrest for the hit-and-run killing of Lilian Verdonkschot.

Lilian Verdonkschot
Running through the Burger King parking lot at 2:30 a.m. on May 29, Shala Parker managed to catch the license plate of the green Cadillac DeVille as it zoomed onto Sixth Avenue and took a hard left onto Lincoln. To remember it, she screamed “727RUG! 727RUG!” as she ran back to where her mom, Lilian Verdonkschot, lay crumpled on her side on the asphalt. When Parker rolled her over, Verdonkschot just stared into the dark sky. Parker knew her mother had a tendency to freak out about things, so she tried to stay calm. “It’s okay, it’s okay,” she repeated, like a mantra. “Everything’s going to be okay, it’s okay.”
Paramedics arrived quickly from Denver Health, just one block away. They loaded the 49-year-old Aurora woman into an ambulance while Parker and her friend Jennifer Goodrich had to stay behind and tell their stories to a seemingly endless line of Denver Police Department officers and detectives. Parker and Goodrich explained how two women and a man in a Cadillac had pulled up behind Parker’s Honda in the Burger King drive-thru line, and how a dispute over a cigarette request had led to a chaotic altercation in the parking lot. Parker told investigators that the women in the Cadillac had repeatedly referred to themselves as “Mexicans” and said they were going to kill the “stupid white bitches.” The last thing she heard them say before the Cadillac plowed into her mother, Parker remembered, was “Let’s just fucking hit them.”

Hate And Slander For Profit

Mark Potok
In August, 2009 the Southern Poverty Law Center released a “Special Report” entitled “The Second Wave: Return of the Militias”. In this completely fabricated conspiracy theory of a report, Mark Potok, Larry Keller and David Holthouse continue to point their fingers at legitimate American Citizens of this country - who have real concerns - and call them racists and hate-mongers.
In this “Special Report” of my own entitled “Hate and Slander for Profit: Dissecting the Southern Poverty Law Center Report” I intend to set the record straight on this piece of race-card playing, pile of lies that the SPLC continues to perpetuate in order to justify their existence.
If you have a second-grader handy, you could probably write a similar report as the SPLC has done and peddle it around as real journalism to all of the mainstream media outlets. They scarf this race dividing and hateful garbage up - and hey - they love a good conspiracy theory. They might even get some gullible, useful idiots to donate money to you thinking you’re doing something good for this country and its people.
I urge all of you who are reading this to pass it on to your friends. The activities of the SPLC must be exposed for what they are. You can download a printable PDF of this full report here to hand out or spread around.

In San Francisco, “Hate Crime” Hysteria Metastasizes Into “Hate Speech” Totalitarianism
Earlier this month, on August 11, the San Francisco Board of Supervisorsunanimously passed a resolution demanding the FCC investigate the relationship between “hate speech in the media” and hate crimes. Amnestied illegal alien-turned-City Supervisor David Campos was the most vocal sponsor of the resolution.
It was always obvious that the Obama Administration’s “Hate Crimes”hysteria is actually aimed at repressing opinion. But what is “Hate Speech”? According to the San Francisco August 11 resolution, it is words “intended to offend” some group. This is not limited to advocating violence—but also specifies “creating a climate of hate towards vulnerable groups”.
The San Francisco resolution quotes various studies by the National Hispanic Media Coalition about an alleged rise in hate crimes against Latinos and how this is tied “hate speech” in the media. (More on this later.)
Who are these “vulnerable groups”? Guess what—they aren’t whites, men, or Protestants. But they do include “African Americans, Asian-Pacific Americans, Latinos, Muslims, Jews, Catholics, women, Lesbians, Gays, Transgendered people, and people with disabilities”.
But, most of all, the Board of Supervisors is concerned with the “negative coverage of Latinos and the immigration debate”. They breathlessly repeat the debunked claims of the UCLA Chicano Studies Research Center and the National Hispanic Media Coalition “that a correlation exists between an increase in hate speech in the media and an increase of hate crimes committed against vulnerable groups”.
L.A. County may require contractors to E-Verify their workers

Los Angeles County is exploring the possibility of requiring future contractors to participate in a federal program that checks whether employees are legal residents authorized to work in the United States. The Board of Supervisors voted 5 to 0 Tuesday to have county officials review E-Verify and make a recommendation on mandating the program for contractors, which could include drug treatment facilities, construction companies and foster family agencies.
E-Verify is a free, online program that uses federal databases to verify that new hires are in the country legally and eligible to work. The Obama administration has promoted the program and is encouraging businesses to enroll. Beginning Sept. 8, the federal government will award contracts only to companies that enroll in E-Verify.
Although E-Verify is voluntary in California, a few other states have mandated the program. It is also becoming increasingly popular nationwide, with about 1,000 new businesses signing up each week. There are more than 11,000 companies — including restaurants, hospitals and temporary employment agencies — enrolled in California, according to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
“It is really growing,” said Mariana Gitomer, a Los Angeles-based spokeswoman for the immigration agency. “The government is pushing it to employers. . . . The more employers use it, the more comfortable they are.”
Gitomer said the program has a nearly 97% accuracy rate.
L.A. County Supervisor Mike Antonovich proposed the motion, which says the benefits of E-Verify include “improved accuracy of wage and tax reporting” and “employers’ ability to maintain a legal workforce and avoid prosecution.”
“The county should be in the forefront of abiding by the laws of the federal system,” Antonovich said. “This will ensure that people are working here legally and protect their rights.”
